Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and be committed to providing excellent pharmaceutical services. You will dispense prescriptions, advise patients on medication usage, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense customized medications as needed.
• Advise on drug interactions and contraindications.
• Implement patient safety protocols and best practices in pharmacy operations.
• Conduct medication therapy management consultations.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust medications as necessary.
• Participate in pharmacy team meetings and contribute to service improvement.
• Assist in the training of pharmacy technicians and assistants.
• Keep accurate records of all transactions and activities in compliance with legal standards.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
• Engage in community outreach programs to promote health and wellness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
• Additional qualifications in clinical pharmacy desirable

Experience

• A minimum of 3 years experience in a retail pharmacy environment.
