Accountant

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. You will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting audits.

Responsibilities

• Review financial data and ensure accuracy prior to submission.
• Assist in preparing budgets and long-term financial plans.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities.
• Monitor cash flow and provide analysis to management.
• Develop financial models to support decision-making processes.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures regarding financial transactions.
• Coordinate with finance team for closing procedures and reporting.
• Train junior accounting staff and oversee their progress.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• A Master's degree in Finance is a plus

Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting roles

• SAP

• Professional Accountant (SA)
