The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in performing surgeries and diagnostic procedures, focusing on both domestic pets and wildlife. Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional veterinary care and uphold clinic standards.
• Evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests to determine treatment.
• Perform routine and complex surgeries as required.
• Manage anesthesia and pain relief protocols during procedures.
• Communicate treatment plans effectively to pet owners.
• Implement preventive health care programs for pets.
• Participate in staff meetings to discuss case studies and improvements.
• Promote a culture of safety and compassion within the clinic.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
• Establish and nurture relationships with clients for better care.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine
• Specializations in surgery or emergency care are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a veterinarian

Technical Skills

• Anesthesia management
• Emergency medical response

Certifications

• Member of the South African Veterinary Association (SAVA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
