Land Clearer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Land Clearer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have experience in clearing and preparing land for construction, agriculture, or environmental conservation. You will be responsible for operating heavy machinery and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performing land clearing tasks using appropriate tools and machinery.
• Clearing trees, rocks, and other obstacles from work sites.
• Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Identifying potential risks and proactively managing them.
• Assisting in preparation and setup of work areas before clearing.
• Following environmental regulations and safety protocols.
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed.
• Participating in team meetings to discuss project progress.
• Ensuring that all equipment is operational and well-maintained.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant vocational training is an asset

Experience

• Experience with GPS and mapping software is beneficial.

Technical Skills

• Heavy machinery operation software
• Data entry skills

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Time management

Advantageous

• Experience in land surveying or mapping.: Knowledge of geographic information systems (GIS) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of environmental conservation practices.: Understanding sustainable land use and management.
