Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join our Cape Town team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in civil design and project management. Your role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on infrastructure projects, ranging from roads and bridges to residential developments.

Responsibilities

• Implement project management tools and methodologies.
• Ensure sustainable practices are integrated into designs.
• Act as a liaison between clients and the engineering team.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders.
• Attend meetings and represent the company in city planning sessions.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements.
• Assist in research and development of new engineering techniques.
• Contribute to internal process improvements and innovations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in a related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant civil engineering experience

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• Geotechnical Engineering

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) certification
• LEED Certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)

Languages

• English: Fluent
