Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Environmental Engineer to join our dedicated team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing projects that focus on sustainable practices and environmental management. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee environmental monitoring and data collection.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of environmental permits.
• Engage with local communities on environmental education and awareness.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into project designs.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to enforce compliance standards.
• Prepare funding proposals for environmental initiatives and projects.
• Support the company's sustainability reporting efforts.
• Evaluate and manage potential environmental risks associated with projects.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts in environmental performance.
• Plan and coordinate training sessions on environmental policies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is an added advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in environmental engineering or related roles

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) certification
