Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our Durban team. In this role, you will assist clients in understanding and complying with environmental regulations, while promoting sustainable practices. Your expertise will be vital in conducting assessments, advising on projects, and implementing environmental strategies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on environmental impact studies for various projects.
• Prepare and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
• Develop strategies for waste management and pollution prevention.
• Support project managers in environmental projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Relevant certifications are highly preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in environmental consulting or related field

Technical Skills

• Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
• Sustainability Practices

Soft Skills

• Analytical Skills
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Environmental Legislation: Knowledge of local and regional environmental legislation is a plus.
• Experience with Community Engagement: Experience in engaging communities on environmental issues.
