Job Description

As an Ophthalmology Physician, you will provide both medical and surgical treatment for a variety of eye disorders. You will be responsible for diagnosing conditions, performing surgeries such as LASIK, cataract surgery, and corneal transplants, and providing follow-up care to ensure the best outcomes for your patients.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and provide medical care for patients with ocular disorders.
  • Conduct routine and specialized eye exams to diagnose conditions.
  • Execute surgical interventions as required by patient conditions.
  • Ensure proper patient management and follow-up procedures are in place.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration to improve patient outcomes.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately and comprehensively.
  • Deliver education to patients and families regarding ocular health.
  • Maintain high patient care standards and safety protocols.
  • Participate in peer review, training, and development activities.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the practice.

Requirements

Education
  • Medical Degree (MBChB) in a recognized field
  • Postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years in ophthalmology practice, particularly in surgical procedures
