Job Description

We are seeking a talented Architect to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architectural design, project management, and a passion for sustainable development. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing projects from initial sketches to final execution. Collaboration with clients and stakeholders will be key, as we aim to transform visions into reality.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural projects from conceptual design through to execution.
• Ensure high-quality design solutions that are aesthetically pleasing and functional.
• Manage project communications with clients and stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Advocate for sustainability in design and project execution.
• Review and approve contractor submissions and shop drawings.
• Collaborate on design charrettes and workshops.
• Maintain knowledge of building materials, technologies, and methods.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• A Master's degree or equivalent is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the architecture field, with project management experience preferred

Technical Skills

• BIM software proficiency
• 3D modeling
• Building Codes Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Registered with South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP)
• Green Building Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Knowledge of advanced project management software: Familiarity with tools like Trello or Asana for project tracking.
• Fluency in multiple languages: Ability to communicate in multiple languages enhances client engagement and project success.
