Job Description

As a Forest and Conservation Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting with various forest management tasks. This includes planting, pruning, and harvesting trees, as well as maintaining equipment and conducting routine inspections. We're after proactive individuals with an interest in environmental conservation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of forest management plans.
  • Monitor the forest for pest infestations and diseases.
  • Support initiatives related to biodiversity conservation.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on forestry equipment.
  • Participate in community outreach regarding conservation efforts.
  • Help organize workshops for educational purposes.
  • Document work processes and findings.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Formal training in forestry or related field preferred
Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in forestry or related field preferred.
