Job Description

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to deliver exceptional technical support to our users based in Durban. The successful candidate will troubleshoot and resolve issues across various hardware and software platforms, ensuring systems run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to support requests via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Create, update, and track service tickets in the IT helpdesk system.
  • Assist in training employees on software tools and technology utilization.
  • Monitor upcoming IT projects and assist in their implementation.
  • Help maintain the security of systems through regular updates and user education.
  • Identify trends and issues in IT support to help develop best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology support meets organizational needs.

Requirements

Education
  • Higher Certificate in IT or related field
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in end-user support roles
Technical Skills
  • Linux OS
  • VPN Configuration
Soft Skills
  • Teamwork
Certifications
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Languages
  • English: Fluent
