Job Description

Seeking an experienced Tax Specialist to enhance our Pretoria team. The role involves preparing tax returns, advising clients on tax obligations, and staying up-to-date with tax legislation. Our firm values teamwork and encourages professionals who are committed to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare individual and corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Advise clients on tax strategies to optimize their performance.
  • Monitor and document changes to the tax policy and legislation.
  • Engage in risk assessment pertaining to tax compliance.
  • Assist clients in resolving tax-related issues with the SARS.
  • Train junior staff on tax procedures and compliance.
  • Coordinate with financial planners and advisors for an integrated approach.
  • Assist in developing policies to improve tax efficiency.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation
  • Postgraduate qualification in Taxation is advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years of taxation experience, specifically in South African tax laws
Technical Skills
  • International Taxation
  • Accounting software
Soft Skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Team player
Certifications
  • Certified Tax Adviser (CTA) is a plus
  • Master Tax Practitioner (MTP) certification is an advantage
Languages
  • English: Fluent
