Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to join our Cape Town office. The successful candidate will be involved in various projects, focusing on sustainable design and innovative engineering solutions to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit necessary permits for construction projects.
• Review and approve design drawings from the project team.
• Engage with community stakeholders to ensure projects meet public needs.
• Utilize latest engineering software and technologies in project development.
• Implement safety procedures on job sites and ensure all regulations are followed.
• Provide technical input during all project phases, from planning to execution.
• Analyze and resolve field issues as they arise during construction.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in civil engineering

• Cost Estimation
• Surveying

• Negotiation

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Quality Management Certification
• WSET Level 2 (or equivalent)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in SAP2000 or similar software: Skill in using analytical software for structural analysis.
• Experience in high-rise building design: Involved in the planning and execution of high-rise infrastructure projects.
