Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices, and will be responsible for designing and implementing projects that reduce environmental impact.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions for managing environmental impact.
• Conduct environmental assessments and compliance audits.
• Work closely with project managers and clients to ensure environmental regulations are met.
• Analyze environmental data and prepare reports to support decision-making.
• Develop strategies for waste management and pollution control.
• Participate in community engagement and educational programs related to environmental sustainability.
• Stay up-to-date with environmental legislation and technological advancements.
• Perform site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental laws.
• Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to create sustainable designs.
• Assist in grant writing for environmental projects.

Advantageous

• Experience with GHG accounting and management systems: Knowledgeable in greenhouse gas inventory and reporting.
• Familiarity with renewable energy technologies: Experience in solar, wind, and other renewable energy systems.
