We are seeking a proactive Security Engineer to join our dynamic cybersecurity team in Johannesburg. This role involves designing, implementing, and monitoring security measures for our information systems. As a crucial part of our operations, you will protect against unauthorized access, cyber-attacks, and security breaches while supporting compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Regularly assess security configurations and amend vulnerabilities.

• Enhance security infrastructure in alignment with global standards.
• Develop scripts and tools for automation of security tasks.
• Facilitate security training sessions for staff.
• Manage access controls and identity management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure security best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Information Security or related field preferred
• Security certifications (e.g., CISM, CRISC) preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on network security
