Job Description

As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will support our physiotherapists in delivering exceptional patient care. Your role will involve assisting with therapeutic exercises, maintaining treatment equipment, and helping patients progress in their rehabilitation journeys.

Responsibilities

• Support patients in their therapeutic exercises.
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure cleanliness.
• Assist in the setup of treatment modalities.
• Identify patient needs and relay information to physiotherapists.
• Engage in continuous learning about physiotherapy practices.
• Participate in team meetings and discussions.
• Assist with administrative tasks as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Matriculation Certificate
• Diploma in Physiotherapy or related field preferred

Experience

• 1+ years in a physiotherapy or healthcare assistant role is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Knowledge of manual therapy techniques: Experience in assisting with manual therapy techniques preferred.
