DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our Cape Town team. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing automated solutions for maintaining our cloud infrastructure. A strong understanding of CI/CD practices and cloud services is essential to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage cloud solutions to enhance performance and scalability.
• Automate processes to improve deployment efficiency.
• Work closely with teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
• Develop and maintain documentation for systems and processes.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks in infrastructure.
• Support incident management and post-mortem processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering

Technical Skills

• AWS or Azure
• Docker
• CI/CD Tools

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Terraform: Proficient in using Terraform for infrastructure as code management.
• Knowledge of Python or Bash scripting: Experience with scripting languages for automation tasks.
