Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Architect to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creative design and sustainable practices, and will be responsible for leading architectural projects from concept through to execution. You will work closely with a collaborative team, clients, and stakeholders to bring innovative ideas to life, while adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process and ensure all client requirements are met.
• Produce high-quality design presentations and architectural plans.
• Coordinate with various teams to align project objectives.
• Conduct push-pull architectural discussions to enhance design outputs.
• Oversee and mentor junior architectural staff.
• Analyze and integrate environmental sustainability into project planning.
• Assist in preparing documentation for all phases of the project.
• Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Manage the procurement of materials and relevant resources.
• Provide expert advice to clients on design and regulatory matters.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage

Experience

• 4 years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• 3D Modeling Software
• Building Codes

Languages

• Afrikaans: Basic
• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with historic restoration projects: Expertise in restoring and preserving historic buildings.
• BIM proficiency: Experience and proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM).
