CyberSafe Solutions is on the lookout for a passionate Cybersecurity Analyst to strengthen our Cape Town team. You will be responsible for conducting security assessments, monitoring security incidents, and implementing effective countermeasures. Responsibilities

• Identify vulnerabilities in applications and systems.
• Monitor and update security systems and tools.
• Collaborate with external security partners and vendors.
• Perform forensic investigations in case of security breaches.
• Document processes and security standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational security.
• Maintain security logs and prepare regular reports.
• Participate in regular training and workshops to improve skills.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Cybersecurity
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant work experience

Technical Skills

• Endpoint Security
• Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
• Incident Response

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• AWS Certified Security – Specialty
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Scripting experience in Python or PowerShell: Ability to automate tasks and enhance security processes through scripting.
• Experience in cloud security: Knowledge of securing cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
