Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental engineering principles and practices, with a focus on sustainability and compliance with environmental regulations. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, designing solutions, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance environmental performance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fieldwork and collect environmental samples for analysis.
• Research current environmental regulations and practices.
• Support the design and implementation of restoration projects.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of environmental initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Engineering
• Master's degree in Environmental Policy is preferable

Experience

• 5 years or more in relevant environmental roles

• Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Certification
• LEED Green Associate

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Beginner
