Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our medical team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of health conditions, offering both preventive care and treatment. Your role will be pivotal in improving the health and wellbeing of our patients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ health conditions through history-taking and examination.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on the latest medical guidelines.
• Provide timely referrals to specialists when necessary.
• Ensure adherence to medical best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior medical staff and interns.
• Engage in community outreach to promote health awareness.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Masters in Family Medicine will be an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years experience in primary healthcare roles

• Emergency Care
• Chronic Disease Management

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in Afrikaans or isiZulu: Ability to communicate in local languages is highly valued.
• Experience with telemedicine services: Familiar with using telehealth platforms for patient consultations.
