Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Technician to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of computer systems and networks, coupled with a strong ability to troubleshoot technical issues. You will be responsible for assisting users, maintaining hardware and software, and ensuring system efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve user issues effectively.
• Monitor computer systems and networks for performance issues.
• Collaborate with team members to improve IT processes and solutions.
• Ensure data backups and recovery plans are in place.
• Train users on new systems and applications as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Computer Science or related field
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Office 365
• Help Desk Software

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• ITIL Foundation Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of ITIL best practices: Understanding of ITIL principles for IT service management.
• Experience with Virtualization technologies: Familiar with VMware or Hyper-V for managing virtual environments.
