Job Description

We are on the lookout for a qualified Product Actuary to join our team in Sandton. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development of new insurance products and enhancing existing ones. Your expertise will influence strategic decision-making and help drive profitability.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate risks and opportunities for new product lines and enhancements.
• Develop pricing models that reflect the competitive landscape.
• Collaborate with the IT team to integrate actuarial models into product systems.
• Facilitate workshops to educate sales teams on new product features.
• Continuously refine actuarial methodologies to ensure best practices are followed.
• Provide technical support to stakeholders regarding product pricing and profitability.
• Review and validate assumptions used in pricing models and analyses.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
• Master's degree in Actuarial Science is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in actuarial roles within the insurance domain
