Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Structural Engineer to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of structural design principles and be able to manage projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain project documentation, including reports and drawings.
• Conduct research on building materials and construction methods.
• Utilize modeling software to simulate structural performance.
• Coordinate with local authorities for building permits and inspections.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to collaborative efforts.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field is advantageous

Experience

• 5-7 years experience in the construction industry

Technical Skills

• Revit
• Geotechnical Engineering

Certifications

• Civil Engineering Technician Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
