Job Description

Seeking a skilled Ethical Hacker to join our cybersecurity team in Sandton. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities and strengthening our security posture through proactive testing and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze security breaches to determine the causes and mitigate risks.
• Work with compliance teams to ensure alignment with standards such as ISO 27001.
• Participate in security technology evaluations and implementations.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities to maintain expertise.
• Collaborate with external security consultants and agencies as required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or relevant technical field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles specializing in ethical hacking

Technical Skills

• Cybersecurity Frameworks (NIST, ISO)
• Malware Analysis

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Risk Management: Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks in IT environments.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices: Understanding how to integrate security practices within the DevOps process.
