Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Pretoria office. You will be responsible for conducting security assessments, managing incidents, and collaborating with various departments to foster a security-conscious culture within the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of existing security measures.
• Collaborate with external security partners for assessments.
• Assist in developing securing software development life cycle.
• Work on incident detection and response strategies.
• Review and test security systems regularly.
• Prepare and present cybersecurity training for staff.
• Act as an advisor on cybersecurity matters for the organisation.
• Support data loss prevention strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Systems is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity

Technical Skills

• Firewall Management
• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

Soft Skills

• Analytical Skills
• Teamwork

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Cybersecurity Frameworks: Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.
• Experience in Security Auditing: Skills in conducting security internal audits for the organisation.
