The Beef Skinner will be responsible for skinning and cleaning beef carcasses in our busy meat processing plant. This role is crucial for ensuring that all products meet quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Perform skinning and cleaning of beef carcasses effectively.
Trim hides to acceptable standards, preparing for subsequent processing steps.
Observe hygiene protocols, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
Help maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
Participate in health and safety training sessions as required.
Requirements
Education
Matric or equivalent
Training in meat processing or butchery is preferred
Experience
No experience required, although prior experience in a meat processing plant or butchery is advantageous.
