Job Description

As a Passenger Conductor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers on our train services. Your responsibilities will include assisting with ticket checks, providing information, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome passengers and assist them to their seats.
• Ensure tickets are checked and validated before departure.
• Provide real-time updates regarding train schedules.
• Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries and issues.
• Enforce compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and order within the train.
• Collaborate with the train team to improve service delivery.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification

Experience

• Experience in hospitality or tourism is an advantage

Technical Skills

• Ticketing systems knowledge

Soft Skills

• Ability to work under pressure

Certifications

• First Aid and CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate in both languages enhances service delivery.
• Tourism experience: Experience working with tourists or international visitors is valued.
