Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated healthcare team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions for patients with various disabilities and conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments for clients with varied physical and mental health conditions.
  • Design and implement effective therapeutic programs tailored to individual requirements.
  • Collaborate with medical teams to ensure cohesive patient care.
  • Provide training and support to clients and families on therapeutic activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient assessments and treatment plans.
  • Engage in regular professional development to enhance skills.
  • Participate in case management discussions for complex cases.
  • Assist in developing community programs that enhance health and well-being.
  • Provide referrals to other health services when necessary.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the allied health department.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy is a plus
Experience
  • Experience working with both children and adults in a therapeutic setting is preferred.
