We are searching for a dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will assist veterinarians in providing high-quality care for a variety of animals. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for animal welfare and exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with pet owners regarding appointments and follow-ups.
• Monitor patient recovery and provide post-operative care.
• Implement and promote client education initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the clinic.
• Participate in continuing education to enhance veterinary nursing skills.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a busy veterinary environment

Technical Skills

• Animal Handling
• Patient Monitoring

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
• CPR Certification for Pets

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Behavioral Training Experience: Experience in animal behavior and training techniques is advantageous.
• Experience with Exotic Animals: Exposure to caring for exotic and wildlife species is a bonus.
