Industrial Engineer

Job Description

We are currently searching for a skilled Industrial Engineer to join our team in Vanderbijlpark. You will be responsible for designing efficient systems, optimizing production processes, and implementing best practices to enhance productivity and ensure high quality in our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement quality control procedures to uphold manufacturing standards.
• Prepare specifications for new equipment and systems to be implemented.
• Facilitate training sessions for staff on new processes or systems.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Conduct risk assessments and feasibility studies for engineering projects.
• Analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements and innovation.
• Review engineering designs and specifications for compliance and efficiency.
• Work with production staff to troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day challenges.
• Evaluate manufacturing technologies and explore new innovations.
• Document all processes and present findings to senior management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
• Professional certification is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing roles

Technical Skills

• Statistical analysis
• AutoCAD

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Detail-oriented

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
• SAP Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of automation technologies: Understanding of automation technologies in manufacturing and how to implement them.
• Experience with quality improvement initiatives: Track record of lead initiatives for quality enhancement in manufacturing.
