Job Description

As an Inventory Manager in Durban, you will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, implementing stock control measures, and managing supplier relationships. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to drive operational efficiency and enhance our supply chain effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the inventory management team in daily operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary.
  • Enhance inventory tracking methods and implement best practices.
  • Analyze sales forecasts and adjust inventory accordingly.
  • Prepare regular reports on inventory status for management review.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders to understand inventory challenges.
  • Conduct training sessions on tools and systems used for inventory management.
  • Advise management on risks related to stock levels and supply chain issues.
  • Streamline processes to reduce lead times and improve delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field
  • Master's degree is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in managing inventories
