We are on the lookout for a proactive Environmental Scientist to join our Durban office. The successful candidate will play a vital role in conducting research, developing strategies for conservation, and supporting environmental compliance efforts.

Responsibilities

• Identify key environmental issues affecting the community and propose solutions.
• Assist in preparing grant proposals for environmental projects.
• Promote sustainable practices within the organisation and among stakeholders.
• Conduct training sessions on environmental best practices.
• Help in coordinating surveys and field studies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Environmental Science is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years experience in environmental consulting or project management

Technical Skills

• GIS Software Proficiency
• Environmental Impact Assessment

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)
• Health and Safety Certification is an advantage

Languages

• English: Fluent
