Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator in Pretoria to oversee and manage the maintenance and repair of our fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are optimized, maintaining safety standards, and managing maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all maintenance activities to ensure vehicles are safe and compliant.
  • Inspect vehicles post-maintenance to ensure repairs are completed to standard.
  • Work on improving the efficiency of maintenance processes and reduce costs.
  • Conduct training sessions for the maintenance team on new protocols and equipment.
  • Review vendor contracts and negotiate terms to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Oversee the transition to any new vehicle maintenance management systems.
  • Monitor the usage of vehicles and advise on optimal usage policies.
  • Provide detailed reports on vehicle performance and maintenance costs to management.
  • Ensure all safety incidents related to vehicles are reported and addressed.
  • Participate in fleet review meetings and contribute to strategy development.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering is an advantage
