Job Description

As a Public Health Officer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing community health by developing and implementing strategies to prevent disease and promote health. You will work closely with local authorities and community organizations to assess public health needs and devise actionable plans.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the health needs of the community and prioritize interventions.
  • Implement health education programs in schools and communities.
  • Coordinate with health agencies on disease surveillance and control.
  • Participate in health-related research and data collection.
  • Advise local authorities on public health emergencies.
  • Report on health statistics and program outcomes.
  • Contribute to grant proposals for public health initiatives.
  • Facilitate community forums to gather input on health issues.
  • Support vaccination and health promotion campaigns.
  • Monitor compliance with health regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health or Health Sciences
  • Master's degree in Public Health is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public health roles
