Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Model Maker to build, install, and maintain various machine tools. The ideal candidate should be proficient in working with metal and plastic to produce high-precision parts. You will work closely with engineers and technicians to ensure optimal performance of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Construct machine tools and fixtures using metal and plastic.
• Conduct maintenance and repair work on machine tools.
• Test and evaluate prototypes and final products.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance product design.
• Identify and mitigate risks in the manufacturing process.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Document all stages of the tool-making process.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project updates.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent qualification
• Trade certificate in Mechanical Engineering highly preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine tool assembly, installation, and maintenance.
