Job Description

Join our dynamic pharmacy team in Durban as a Pharmacist. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, counselling patients on their prescriptions, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe dispensing of prescriptions.
• Offer personalized patient counseling on medications.
• Monitor patients for drug interactions and side effects.
• Prepare and label medications accurately.
• Support patient adherence initiatives within the pharmacy.
• Develop and deliver pharmacy-based health promotion activities.
• Participate in continuous professional development programs.
• Provide recommendations for drug therapy to healthcare teams.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pharmacy.
• Respond to inquiries about medications and health services.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Additional certifications in Clinical Pharmacy preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in retail or hospital pharmacy

Certifications

• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council
• Certification in Pharmacotherapy

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
