Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Environmental Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing projects that improve environmental quality. Ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of environmental regulations and engineering principles, as well as a commitment to sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental assessments and research studies.
• Prepare documentation for environmental permits and reports.
• Design and conduct field studies to gather environmental data.
• Coordinate with external consultants and contractors for project delivery.
• Ensure health and safety practices are adhered to on-site.
• Assist in the training and development of junior engineers.
• Foster relationships with governmental and non-governmental organizations.
• Advocate for sustainable solutions within the community.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role

• LEED Accredited Professional
