Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our talented team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring network security, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing valuable security protocols to protect company assets.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint security.
• Assess and mitigate risk through continuous monitoring of network activity.
• Conduct threat hunting and threat intelligence gathering.
• Document and communicate security incidents and findings with stakeholders.
• Encourage a security-first mindset among all employees across the organization.
• Research and recommend security solutions and software.
• Work with vendors and third parties on security requirements and assessments.
• Assist in compliance checks and audits for standards such as ISO 27001.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Relevant security certifications will be a plus

Experience

• 3-6 years of experience in information security
