Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Responsibilities

• Check financial transactions for accuracy and validity.
• Prepare monthly forecasts and budgets for departmental expenses.
• Analyze trends and offer strategic recommendations to management.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure control measures are in place.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Implement system upgrades and manage software integrations.
• Prepare reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration
• Master's degree in Accounting is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in an accounting capacity

Certifications

• Fellowship of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

• Proficiency in MS Excel for advanced data analysis.: Skillful in using Excel for complex financial modeling.
