Pharmacist

Job Description

As a Pharmacist at Health & Wellness Pharmacy, you will play a critical role in patient health by dispensing medications and providing consultations. We are looking for an individual who is detail-oriented, knowledgeable about pharmaceutical practices, and passionate about improving community wellness.

Responsibilities

• Directly dispense prescriptions and evaluate patient medication therapy.
• Advise patients on health and wellness strategies.
• Document patient interactions and medication histories.
• Work with insurance providers to resolve prescription issues.
• Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in community health outreach programs.
• Assist in chronic disease management initiatives.
• Conduct medication therapy management sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)
• Master's in Pharmaceutical Sciences is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in retail pharmacy

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR): Experience using EHR systems for patient management.
