DevOps Engineer

Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer in our Cape Town office, you will play a key role in driving our cloud initiatives. You will develop and implement CI/CD pipelines, and work closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software. This position is ideal for someone with great problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Create automation scripts for continuous integration.
• Coordinate with external vendors for cloud services.
• Lead initiatives to improve system security.
• Participate in on-call rotation for incident response.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions within the team.
• Assist in the development of cloud architecture and strategy.
• Regularly review and update operational policies.
• Support DevOps training and onboarding of new team members.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Master's degree in relevant field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud computing, or related fields

Technical Skills

• Azure

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Google Professional DevOps Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent
