Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Civil Engineer to join our Port Elizabeth office. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and build risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with other departments to align project objectives.
• Monitor progress on-site, addressing any issues that arise.
• Utilize CAD and other software for design tasks.
• Continually assess engineering methodologies for potential improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills

• MS Office Suite
• Geotechnical Engineering

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Negotiation

Certifications

• SACPCMP Registration

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with sustainable practices: Ability to implement eco-friendly engineering solutions.
• Experience with AutoDesk Revit: Proficient in using Revit for integrated project delivery.
