Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Description

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, your mission will be to protect our organization from cyber threats. Based in Pretoria, you will analyze security events, perform vulnerability assessments, and help establish best practices and protocols to maintain the integrity of our data. A keen investigative mindset and solid problem-solving skills are crucial for this role.

Responsibilities

• Analyze security incidents to determine their root cause and prevent future occurrences.
• Provide recommendations for improving existing security processes.
• Evaluate new cybersecurity technologies and tools for potential implementation.
• Participate in cyber threat hunting exercises.
• Maintain and improve the organization's security awareness programme.
• Liaise with local and national cybersecurity agencies as required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles with practical knowledge
