Job Description

As a Cutting and Slicing Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender, you will be responsible for trimming and shaping leather heel components, ensuring precision and quality throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong attention to detail and possess the manual dexterity required for this hands-on role.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate cutting and slicing machines.
• Perform regular maintenance on machines to ensure operational efficiency.
• Ensure all products are trimmed to specifications set by production standards.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to uphold high standards.
• Make adjustments to machinery settings based on production needs.
• Assist in maintaining safety and compliance within the production area.
• Participate in the continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct daily safety checks on all machines and tools.
• Document any issues or maintenance needs to the Production Manager.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Further training in leather craftsmanship is an advantage

Experience

• Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
