IT Support Engineer

Job Description

We’re on the lookout for an IT Support Engineer to join our team in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting our IT infrastructure, ensuring that all systems run smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical support for desktop and laptop systems, including installation and maintenance.
• Respond to support requests via various channels, including phone, email, and in-person.
• Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Collaborate with the IT team to optimize performance and security.
• Assist in the rollout of software updates and system upgrades.
• Maintain user accounts and permissions in accordance with company policy.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience

Experience

• 3 years of experience in a similar IT support role

Technical Skills

• Linux Operating System
• Remote Support Tools

Soft Skills

• Team Player

Advantageous

• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure): Experience in managing cloud-based applications and services.
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash): Basic scripting knowledge for automating tasks.
