Job Description

We are seeking a committed Public Health Officer to join our team in Cape Town. This role involves developing and implementing health promotion strategies, collaborating with local organizations, and conducting health assessments to enhance community health.

Responsibilities

  • Lead health promotion campaigns and initiatives within the community.
  • Conduct workshops to educate the public about health risks and preventive measures.
  • Collect and analyze data on health-related issues in the community.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve service delivery.
  • Report findings and recommendations to senior management regularly.
  • Facilitate health fairs and community events to promote health awareness.
  • Establish partnerships with schools, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage public health resources and budgets effectively.
  • Engage with community leaders to understand health challenges.
  • Prepare and submit proposals for funding health initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related field
  • Master's degree in Public Policy is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in public health management or policy-making
