Job Description

As a Mining Powder Crew Worker, your role will involve assisting with the preparation and handling of explosives for mining operations. You will play a key part in ensuring the safety and efficiency of blasting processes while working closely with a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Handle and transport explosive materials in accordance with safety regulations.
• Prepare and mix explosives ingredients accurately as per protocols.
• Assist in loading and unloading explosives on site.
• Set up and test detonation systems for safe and efficient blasting.
• Inspect specialized blasting equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Work closely with crew members to ensure compliance with safety practices.
• Document any safety concerns and report to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow all applicable safety standards and operational procedures.
• Conduct safety drills regularly and engage in team safety discussions.
• Aid in the disposal of leftover explosive materials and by-products.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent preferred

Experience

• Experience in the mining sector or in explosives operations is beneficial.
