Vivarium Manager

Job Description

Join us as a Vivarium Manager where you'll oversee the management of laboratory animals within a research setting. You will implement care protocols and ensure that all animals are treated humanely while complying with relevant laws.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise the animal care staff, ensuring adherence to care standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of the vivarium to ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
• Collaborate with the research team to support their animal needs for experiments.
• Facilitate the acquisition and proper housing of laboratory animals.
• Implement health monitoring systems and respond to any animal health issues promptly.
• Document and manage all vivarium-related records and reports for regulatory compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in animal science, biology, or related field

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a vivarium or animal facility
