Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent pharmaceutical care, advising patients on medication use, and ensuring the safe dispensing of pharmaceuticals. You will play a key role in patient education and safety, working closely with healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy.
  • Educate patients on potential side effects and interactions.
  • Lead medication therapy management initiatives.
  • Assist in insurance claims and billing processes.
  • Participate in clinical audits and compliance checks.
  • Advise on over-the-counter medications for minor ailments.
  • Maintain inventory control systems for pharmaceuticals.
  • Support patient adherence through follow-up consultations.
  • Provide support in the pharmacy workflow and task delegation.
  • Engage in community health awareness and education programs.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BPharm)
  • Advanced training in Pharmaceutical care is advantageous
Experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in community pharmacy
